CUSTOM DESIGNED FINISHED MATS
Tempurtech manufactures heated drip edge mats that may be applied under a new roof install or placed on top of an existing roof. The mats are 5 inches, 12 inches or 24 inches wide, and up to 150 feet long depending on the width. The mats are pre-made per installation and require very little effort to install. All necessary electrical and cord placements are designed per electricians' request. The mats are available in 110v or 220v.
SELF REGULATING ELECTRIC CABLE SYSTEM
The self-regulating heating cables are a nightmare to install, not to mention the potential for roof damage. This is an expensive system to purchase and expensive to install and is not very energy efficient. The major failure rate is due to the wires either short or burn out. This is the worst system you could ever purchase.
ROLL OF HEATED MATS UNROLL MATS APPLY ADHESIVE ROLL OUT MATS
Tempurtech's line of commercial heated roof ice and snow melting mats prevent ice and snow loads from creating damage to large surfaces.
Tempurtech manufactures the largest heated roof surfaces in the U.S.A.
Tempurtech's advanced carbon nanoemulsion patented heating element is designed not to burn out and be the most energy-efficient way to melt ice and snow on large surfaces. Tempurtech is the only company in the U.S.A. that can manufacture large heated mats up to 100 feet long. When supplied with architectural drawings Tempurtech can design, engineer, and produce a custom heated roofing system that is easy to install, energy-efficient and very effective in melting ice and snow. The most common widths are 5 inches,12 inches,24 inches, and 4 feet up to 100 feet long and available in 110v .13 amps per sq. ft or 220v 1 ph .08 amps sq. ft. All the mats may be manufactured in TPO, PVC, EPDM, or PTE and are designed for easy installation.
This system requires extensive labor to install, constant maintenance, extensive equipment repairs, relays, piping, manifolds, control valves, and heating system. This system cannot be shut off unless the system is filled with antifreeze or pipes will burst and it has a slow recovery time. This is the most expensive system to purchase.
The major problem with a large commercial roof is that when the snow and ice melt the water tends to refreeze and ice dams form that prevents the water from draining off the roof and this creates excessive weight loads on the roof. Depending on the type of roof, Tempurtech can design mats to fit around the scuppers or drain to prevent freezing.
Tempurtech's heated commercial roof mats offer a safer and more energy-efficient system for melting ice and snow build up on roofs. Utilizing our patented carbon sheet heating element, we can manufacture large mats that are easy to install and cover large areas. These mats are very easy to install, which saves on installation cost, provide more heat per square foot, most energy-efficient system available, no internal wires, maybe walked on, and cost less than any other form of the heated roof system.
The most important factor in melting ice and snow of a commercial roof is to make sure the water can drain off the roof before it refreezes again. After 9 years of manufacturing heated roof mats, Tempurtech has developed a heated mat with a built-in drain screen on the bottom of the mat to allow water to flow under the mat over to the scuppers.
In designing heated roof systems we have to consider many different factors that determine the best solution.
