HEATED SHINGLE MATS DESIGNED TO MELT ICE AND SNOW
Tempurtech was the first company to produce a heated shingle mat to melt ice and snow to prevent roof damage . We believe in quality and good workmanship and that is why we can stand behind our products and offer a five year warranty. The worst system to install on a roof ,especially a shingle roof is the self regulating heating cable. These cables damage shingles, falling frozen snow and ice tend to rip the shingles off the roof, tend to burn out after 2 years ,unsightly , cannot be used in cold weather zones like New England and use a lot of electricity.
The heated shingle mats are 5 inches wide up to 150 feet long ,are custom made to size and come ready to plug into a 110v outlet , with a 6 foot plug in cord. The mats only use .11 amps per lineal foot
The large 24" wide mat is excellent for this application . Lay mat directly on top of roof along the drip edge and than apply the metal snow shield over the top.
